The Sea Otter Classic is a bicycling and outdoorsports festival and exposition held each spring since1991 at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca inMonterey, California. The four-day event isconsidered the world's largest cycling festival, drawingnearly 10,000 professional and amateur athletes and70,000 fans. The Sea Otter Classic is named in honorof the southern sea otter, an indigenous mammal which flourishes alongthe neighboring Pacific coast.
